Here's who I am & what I do
Hi, I’m Makenna Nystedt, a recent graduate of the University of Arizona with a Master of Science in Marketing from the Eller College of Management. I also hold a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Eller, which I completed in May 2024. Originally from Parker, Colorado, I moved to Tucson in 2020 to pursue my academic and professional goals.

My professional journey began in 2019 as a summer marketing assistant for a Denver-based startup, PEEKaMEET. This first internship sparked my passion for the business and marketing world. Since then, I’ve continued to build my experience through a variety of individual and collaborative academic and professional projects.
Throughout my master’s program, I had the opportunity to develop high-level marketing skills in areas like digital marketing strategy, brand management, pricing strategy, and marketing research. I worked on a variety of campaigns that challenged me to think creatively and analytically, and I learned how to turn data-driven insights into action.

During my graduate experience, I completed three internships, two of them with nonprofit organizations, where I led social media campaigns from planning to execution. I was responsible for building content calendars, designing graphics, writing copy, and tracking analytics to refine strategy and increase engagement. One of the most rewarding experiences was helping market TENWEST, a large-scale conference celebrating entrepreneurs, creatives, and changemakers. I supported both digital and on-site promotion for the festival, working on everything from social media content and newsletters to day-of logistics and event signage.

I am excited to apply my experience to a full-time role in marketing and to continue building my knowledge in this ever-evolving field. I am especially passionate about creating campaigns that connect with people, spark engagement, and drive impact.
